Repeat Dispensing

Some of our patients may be suitable for Electronic Repeat Dispensing (eRD), which allows your GP to send a series of repeat prescriptions to your pharmacy in one go, so there is no need for you to order them each time. It is reliable, secure and confidential. Your regular prescriptions are stored securely on the NHS database, so they’ll be ready at the pharmacy each time you need them.

You might be suitable for eRD if you receive regular or repeat medicines that do not change regularly. How eRD can help you:
Your GP can authorise your medicines to be collected monthly or two monthly from your pharmacy.
There is no need to contact your GP every time you need to order a repeat prescription – you can go straight to your pharmacy.

Your pharmacist will check it is still safe for you to receive the medicine every time you collect.

Your pharmacist will let you know when you need to contact your GP to review your medicines.
Also eRD can also save time and money for your GP practice, pharmacy and the NHS. Ask your pharmacy about switching to eRD.

Ordering Prescriptions

You may order your repeat prescriptions in several ways:

Telephone:

PLEASE NOTE: We no longer take Prescriptions over the phone. Please use one of the methods below – the NHS App is the preferred and most secure route, and also allows you to track the progress of your request.

Post:

We can also post your scripts out to you but you will need to send us a supply of stamped addressed envelopes.

On-line:

We would recommend patients to download and use the NHS App which will allow you to request your medication when due.

However, if you are unable to use the NHS App you can now order via our new SystmConnect pages. To order please select ‘Medication Requests’ from the ‘ADMIN’ section. Please click on the image link below to proceed. Please allow 48 hours before collecting from the surgery or 72 hours before collecting from the pharmacy.
